A new name has been added to the list of featured seiyuu: Ai Shimizu. Enjoy!

More that a year without an update, at least for this part of the website. The database part without the characterimages has seen lots of updates, but still that's pretty bad.
Several things got inbetween, like being without an internetconnection for a few months, being busy with other things... and ultimately it's been quite difficult getting back into the rhythem of following the new anime shows and updating this website.
There's certainly a lot to catch up to. Today I have added 117 new character images, mostly stuff from the last three seasons, nothing from the current one yet.
I'm not going to post a list with every new picture this time, but highlights of this update surely are Mamiko Noto and Kana Ueda, their sites both got 8 new pictures, Ayako Kawasumi and Kenichi Suzumura have also been doing pretty well...
More updates hopefully soon!

86 new character pictures for this website:

Time for another update.
I have added a new feature seiyuu: veteran Kazuhiko Inoue.
Working on his site also made me remember that the Fruits Basket site is far from being complete, so I have worked a bit on it the first time since 2002.
It's still not complete, but I have added Momiji, Hatori, Hatsuharu, Ayame, Micchan and Kana.
Furthermore I have added a few new seiyuu pictures: Akira Ishida Pic 6, Masami Kikuchi Pic 8, Romi Paku Pic 3 & Pic 4, Satsuki Yukino Pic 9.

A new anime season has arrived, again.
Without further ado, here my little service as usual, the seiyuu cast lists and official websites of the new anime shows:
Another matter, today I'm going to publish the site statistics for the whole past year.
After this website moved to this domain, which was pretty much exactly a year ago, I started to install counters on every single page, which wasn't possible with the old website.
Well, today I give you access to what these counters have counted and I know this should be pretty interesting to all serious seiyuu fans.
I guess we all have a vague feeling which seiyuu is popular, but getting actual figures about this is not so easy.
Japanese magazines sometimes have popularity polls, but these are only done by japanese and they don't release more than the top 10 or top 20 of these polls.
This website though has been visited by people from the whole world and I'm giving you access to the complete list.
Certainly, these stats are not the ultimate ranking of who was the most popular seiyuu in 2004. There are a lot of little factors that have falsified these stats, like Google.
Google does not cache every single site of this website, at least not anymore. Sites that are in google's cache definitely receive more hits than the ones who are not.
Another thing are the casual visitors, who just stumble across this site, and the first thing these people tend to do is to click on the first link they see. Which is Yuu Asakawa, in the case of the main site.
I think this is a reason why Yuu Asakawa is ranked 3rd on the first list. I personally don't think she is that popular, a look at the second list strengthens that feeling, where she is placed 41st.
Everything else feels pretty realistic to me, though. The top rankers in both lists, Akira Ishida and Yui Horie, are extremely popular.
Well, I hope you are as interested in this as I am. If there is a wish for it, I would be willing to release these stats more often.

An update for the seiyuu galleries today. I've scanned and added the following pictures:
Hiroki Takahashi: 10
Ikue Ohtani: 7, 8
Junko Noda: 7
Kyoko Hikami: 5
Mariko Kouda: 1
Masumi Asano: 3
Nana Mizuki: 2, 4, 8
Saeko Chiba: 5
Sakura Nogawa: 4, 6, 7, 8, 9
Souichirou Hoshi: 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10
Tomokazu Seki: 1, 4, 5, 6
Yui Horie: 7
Yukari Tamura: 3
12.01.2004
I have added two new anime to the mainpage, both are from the current anime season and their names are as followed:
Meine Liebe & My Hime.
Besides having the same initial letter both anime also have Tomokazu Seki, Toshihiko Seki and Akira Ishida in their lineup. But not only that, these 3 are also in Gundam Seed Destiny, another anime of the current season.
Amazing, isn't it? I can think of various times where two seiyuu have been in a lot of anime together, but never a group of 3. The probability of something like that to ever occur again has to be pretty low.
11.04.2004
I have updated the website with 50 new character pics, details below:
10.11.2004
This post comes a bit late but anyway here the list of anime from the current fall anime season that already made into this database:
As this isn't already enough, I haven't yet managed to add everything I originally wanted, a few are still missing like Sunabouzu and Rozen Maiden, these will follow later. The new To Heart series is also missing from that list, simply because there is no need to add it as the cast is the same as that of the first series.
10.07.2004
I've been neglecting the usual character pic updates quite a lot in the last months, but I haven't stopped gathering new material for it.
Result of this is rather long list of new pics I have added today.
Besides the pics in the list below, there are also several new pics for Puchi Puri Yucie.
07.20.2004
Time for another characterpic update.
I've added approximatly 25 new Full Metal Alchemist pics and the following ones:
And I've to correct my last news post a bit. My Hime is not going to be broadcasted this season, it's now scheduled for the fall season.
But at least more of the cast has been announced. Well... and I'm more than impressed. I haven't seen a cast list which is so stuffed with popular seiyuu in a long time.
I have added everything what's listed at the official website, except for the one role who is not played by a familiar seiyuu, Yuugo Takahashi.
I read that Yuuji Ueda is also going to be in it, but I dunno what his character is called.
06.23.2004
The new anime season is close, very close. Most stuff will air next week, some already this week.
Time for me to take a look at the various cast lists and adding them to the database.
Which I've done and here are the results:
My, Ayako Kawasumi sure is active right now, looks like she's returning to the pace she had 2 two years ago.
She has landed 4 major roles this season, counting in Samurai Champloo, that's more than Houko Kuwashima's 3 from the last season...
I've also added the following character pics:
06.10.2004
I have added Gate Keepers 21 and these random character pics:
05.27.2004
Three new things today, a new feature seiyuu: Mamiko Noto, and two new anime: Naru Taru & Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito.
05.12.2004
Once again new character pics:
And I have several Net Radio news.
First the shows that have ended:
- Masumi Asano's and Takeshi Washizaki's Spa Raji. Both hosts have a new radio show called Ani Spa, which is something like the successor to AniGe Master.
But unfortunately for everyone not living in Japan there is no internet broadcast for Ani Spa.
- Asami Sanada's and Ai Tokunaga's 'Futari Don Burako'. I dunno what happenend to this one, the whole anista.tv (where it was hosted) domain just vanished.
- Lime-iro Jogakuin hosted by Ai Shimizu and Kaoru Sasajima, but both have a new internet radio show called Ai to Kaoru no Love Feromon.
Go here if want to see a short movie with the two hosts in their studio.
Which brings us to the shows that have started in the last few weeks besides 'Love Feromon':
- Mariko Kouda's GM. Ok, this one is not really new, but the internet broadcast is new.
- Kedamonotachi no Heaven's Party Splash, a radio show hosted by the Saint Beast cast.
- 'Masayo, Kaori no LoveČ Emotion' and 'Midori no Love Diary'. Again both are not really new, but they just recently have been available to a broader audience thanks to Beat Net Radio. Unfortunately both are only digest versions.
And lastly feature radio shows, Onsen.ag has announced 3 new radio shows which will go on air in June:
- 'BakuTen Housou', a Bakuretsu Tenshi radio show hosted by Akeno Watanabe (Jo) and Megumi Toyoguchi (Meg)
- 'Radio Animage' hosted by Nobuyuki Hiyama, Animage refers to the popular anime magazine, I guess this will be about new anime in general
- 'Sora to Layla no Sugoi Radio' a Kaleido Star radio show hosted by Ryo Hirohashi and Sayaka Ohara

Character pic update:
04.06.2004
Well well, already a new anime season.
Just like last time here the stuff that I've already added to the database:
Not part of the new season, but also new: the Tales of Phantasia OAV. Animate.tv has a trailer up for it and luckily it looks just
like the PSX Intro. The cast list is also the same as the PSX game, which means Junko Iwao is in it! That has to be her first role in 2 years or something like that.
Other than her concerts she hasn't been doing much, good to see that she's still active.
A new anime season always seems to cause several changes to the seiyuu radio shows. I therefore had to update the radio link list.
These two shows have been removed, simply because they've ended: Toru Furuya's Boathouse and Angel Clinic 2.
And it seems like anista.tv will stop hosting radio programs, most of anista's programs have moved to www.onsen.ag. Affected so far are Kaori Nazuka's Kamosan Gakuen,
Tomoko Kawakami's Usagi no Mimitabu, Mika Morishan no Pink dayo! Black Dragon and Yumi Kakazu's Choukagayakuke! Yamatodamashii!!, some of which have also the changed the timeslot.
Radio dot-i had it's 3-monthly host change, Eriko Ishihara has been replaced by Kimiko Koyama, whose new show is called 'Strawberry Time'.
There are also news about Radio Pastel Collection, besides the timeslot move from monday to friday, there's now a second program which is hosted by Kenyuu Horiuchi.
And last but not least I have to point out the addition of the next anime: Naruto.
