Now let's take a look at how the BVM handels different resolutions. So all of the following pictures are from the Sony BVM-D32E1WE.

Picture 1: 576i through Scart (PS3)
Picture 2: 720p through RGB Sync on Green
Picture 3: 1080i through HDSDI

MotoGP (567i)
MotoGP (720p)
MotoGP (1080i)

As these pictures show there is an increase in detail the higher the resolution is. The pixels at 1080i are really small, but the monitor can definitely resolve it. Even if you might not like interlaced video, 1080i is the way to go if you want to watch HD stuff on it. But I cannot stress enough how good standard definition looks on this monitor. Watching from a distance there is not that much between SD and HD.
